Thank you for your wonderful support and friendship over the past 12 months.
I’m so incredibly proud, that together with our management team and crew, I've been able to lead the world renowned name of Moyes Delta Gliders into a new era, taking over sole ownership and moving the company to a new state of the art facility.
Throughout the year I’ve loved taking on new challenges and look forward to an even more rewarding and successful 2016.
Here’s a few highlights of 2015
- Established Moyes and Liteflite in our new premises in Kurnell, the birth place of Australia and the area where Bill began teaching hang gliding some 40 years ago.
- Moyes Boys and Girls dominate with 5 World Records during the year, Congratulations to Kathleen Rigg and Konrad Heilman plus Carl Wallbank's UK Record and Elio Cataldi's and Sasha Serebrennikova win at the Pre-Euros just to name a few others! In the World rankings we have 9 Moyes pilots in the top 20, almost twice as many as any other manufacturer and the top 3 in the Womens rankings! Congratulations to all!
- Release and DHV certification of our long awaited new Intermediate glider the GECKO and she’s proving to be unique in her class, handles like an intermediate glider should with performance to take you places! Jonny Durand recently flew a fantastic 187 km on the Gecko from his home site of Beechmont which throws up the challenge to future Gecko pilots… keep watching this space for a soon to be released Gecko Challenge!
- First ever tour group from China to our Forbes Flight Park facility where the students were able to fly 11 out of 11 days!
- Strengthening relationships with International Distributors where we enjoyed a visit from Toru Goda of Japan, while Matthew paid a visit to Wolfgang Genghammer from Skyline in Germany.
- Becoming a part of the One Sky Project to help these guys in their mission to make a difference. Brian Morris is the only hang glider pilot on the project and will be flying our Gecko.
It's my privilege being a part of this wonderful community.
