As a warm up to the upcoming flying season we are hosting the
Forbes Labour Day Fly In

• Saturday 1st October - Monday 3rd October
• Presentation Sunday Evening 2nd October
• Emphasis on a fun competition, for all level of pilot.
• Easy to score, the total of your XC flights added up to provide the winners in each class.
• Bonus points for out and returns and triangles.
• The classes are determined by rating and experience.
• No entry fee
• Moyes meals provided each night at $20 per head
• Tows at $30 to be paid at the end of each day.
• Camping available at the aeroclub for $10 per night.
• Club and Site fee $10 per day.

European Championships FAI Category 1 Competition

Congratulations to the European Champion Christian Ciech and Italy 1st in the Teams!

Special cheers to our top Moyes Boy Grant Crossingham UK in 4th place.

Attila Bertok Hungary in 5th and Balazs Ujhelyi Hungary in 9th makes three Moyes boys in the top 9!

Looked like a great comp from all accounts. Congratulations to the organisers, 8 tasks, 2 classes, big job!

2016 Italian Nationals

Congratulations to Balazs Ujhelyi for winning the Italian Nationals in a mighty strong field! The scores show him flying an RS4 but he was actually flying his new RX4!

Balazs wrote to me:
Glider was super also on this comp, I enjoy the Rx feeling a lot and how it hooks into the thermal.
When I asked him about his result he comment was  "quite good" !

2016 For Funston Air Races

Jonny writes: Stoked to win the open class 2016 Fort Funston Air Races with Kraig Coomber in second and Zac Majors in 3rd. There was only about 12 seconds between the three of us. Zac won the Kingpost class 3 seconds ahead of me with Kraig in 3rd just behind. Was great to finally fly this place and see so many pilots turn up for the event.

The home of Australia's flat-land hang gliding and one of the world's greatest flat-land hang gliding locations invites you to experience the thrill of competitive hang gliding, to enhance your flying skills and to further enjoy the great camaraderie of this sport.

All are welcome to come and join us at Forbes whether you are new to competition, a well-seasoned pilot or up and coming. There's fun to be had for all. Forbes provides the greatest opportunity to learn new skills, set new personal best flights or just hang out with likeminded hang gliding enthusiasts!
