Moyes together with the Sydney Hang Gliding Club are proud to announce the dates for our 11th consecutive Forbes Flatlands Hang Gliding competition.

The home of Australia's flat-land hang gliding and one of the world's greatest flat-land hang gliding locations invites you to experience the thrill of competitive hang gliding, to enhance your flying skills and to further enjoy the great camaraderie of this sport.

All are welcome to come and join us at Forbes whether you are new to competition, a well-seasoned pilot or up and coming. There's fun to be had for all. Forbes provides the greatest opportunity to learn new skills, set new personal best flights or just hang out with likeminded hang gliding enthusiasts! • Maintain workshop, ensuring safe working practices

• Capable of reading, understanding and following technical drawings
• Previous experience operating Milling machines, lathes
• Strong communication skills

 Canungra Classic 2016

Congratulations to Jonny Durand 1st at the Canungra Classic 2016, his 14th Classic win out of 16. Not bad!
The Classic is traditionally a great start to our Aussie season and didn’t disappoint this year.
The comp was sanctioned HGFA AAA so the top spots were tightly contested for a place on the Aussie team for Brasilia next year.
Great to see Mykell Jackson 2nd and Steve Blenkinsop 3rd in great form.

New World Record to Andre Wolf and Glauco Pinto!
Declared goal of 607 km! Over 10 hours in the air!

Yesterday was a special day in my life. Taking off from tacima in paraíba and landing in poranga in ceará with my friend Glauco Pinto, beat together the world record of goal declared with 607 km and the South American record away free with 612 miles. Took off at 7.15 and I landed at 17.35. Fly practically the whole time together, wing with ASA.... taking decisions together and with that, accelerating very the flight. The day was historic for the free flight, Brazilian. Donizete Baldessar Lemos Rafael Saladini and Samuel Nascimento broke the world record for distance free of paraglider flying 564 miles. They proved that they are real monsters. I thank they the friendship and the learning of their huge knowledge about the flight as a team.

I am currently in quixadá still taken of emotion, energy and adrenaline for being part of this historic day.
I would like to thank the Moyes gliders and waves of the air by my wonderful wing RX 3, 5... to Nenerotor Rotor for the extraordinary and revolutionary belt which was great responsible so that I could handle the 10 hours and 20 minutes hanging by the skies of the outback, in a huge effort of resistance. The belt really can relieve all the pressure that the previous belts were mainly in the lumbar...

I would also like to thank my faithful sidekick brush. .. to know that he's in my rescue is always reassuring.... I would also like to thank zeca by the partnership with the brush in the rescue.

I also want to thank glaucus pinto for sharing all the experience gained during many years flying here and putting the "pile" to that I was with at that moment. This was without doubt the most exciting flight of my life.

I hope that this wave of energy to spread to our great Brazilian team and that we can reach our potential in the whole world in brasilia on 2017!

Ontem foi um dia especial na minha vida. Decolando de Tacima na Paraíba e pousando em Poranga no Ceará com meu amigo Glauco Pinto ,batemos juntos o Recorde Mundial de gol declarado com 607 km e o Recorde Sul Americano de distância livre com 612 km. Decolei às 7.15 e pousei às 17.35. Voamos praticamente o tempo inteiro juntos, asa com asa....tomando decisões juntos e , com isso, acelerando muito o vôo. O dia foi histórico para o vôo livre brasileiro. Donizete Baldessar Lemos, Rafael Saladini e Samuel Nascimento quebraram o Recorde Mundial de distância livre de Paraglider voando 564 km. Eles provaram que são verdadeiros MONSTROS. Agradeço a eles a amizade e o aprendizado de seus enormes conhecimentos sobre o vôo em equipe.
Neste momento estou em Quixadá ainda tomado de emoção, energia e adrenalina por ter feito parte desse dia histórico.
Gostaria de agradecer à Moyes Gliders e Ondas do Ar pela minha maravilhosa asa RX 3,5...à Nenerotor Rotor pelo extraordinário e revolucionário cinto que foi grande responsavel para que eu pudesse aguentar as 10 horas e 20 minutos pendurado pelos céus do sertão, em um esforço enorme de resistência. O cinto realmente consegue aliviar toda a pressão que os cintos anteriores colocavam principalmente na lombar...
Quero agradecer também ao meu fiel escudeiro Escova. ..saber que ele está no meu resgate é sempre tranquilizador....agradeço também ao Zeca pela parceria com o Escova no resgate.
Também quero agradecer a Glauco Pinto por compartilhar toda a experiência adquirida durante muitos anos voando aqui e me botando a "pilha" para que estivesse junto nesse momento. Esse foi sem dúvida o vôo mais emocionante da minha vida.
Espero que essa onda de energia se espalhe para nosso grande time Brasileiro e que consigamos atingir todo nosso potencial no Mundial em Brasília em 2017!
